My last name is Ingram.  It’s a fairly common name. Do you know how I got this name?  Me either,  I only know I

didn’t choose it myself.  It’s my name and I had nothing to do with it.  The fact is, Ingram is my name.  I think I got from my grandfather and I don’t know where he got it.  Another fact; I will always be Ingram.  If I become president of the U.S.A. I will not change my name to Trump, I will still be    Ingram.  If I become a beggar on the street, I will not change my name to panhandler, I will still be Ingram, because that is my name.  Nothing I do will keep me from being an Ingram.

I am Ingram.  I also am a sinner.  Not because I chose it, but because of Adam.  Just like my name is Ingram, it’s my heritage, likewise, I am by nature a sinner.  There is not much I can do about either of these conditions.  That’s right, there is not much I… I can do about it.  But God can, and God has, and that is what God does.  He has a strategy to make me belong to Him.  In simple and often confusing terms, God wants me to die, so I can be ’born again.’

By the way, that Adam was quite a character, do you know what he said to his wife on the day before Christmas?  He said “It’s Christmas eve!”  Did you know Adam and Eve had the perfect marriage?  Adam couldn’t compare Eve’s cooking to his mother’s cooking.  And Eve couldn’t compare Adam to any former boyfriends. Got time for one more?  How about a poem this time.  This is a poem about fleas.  It describes fleas down through the ages, all the way to the beautiful garden of Eden.  Ready?  It goes fast.  “Adam had’em!”  It may be a time joke.  Think about it, you’ll get it soon or later.
