Steve Ingram - Senior Pastor

Steve Ingram has preached the Word of God for 40 years. He believes the Bible is the central theme of the church and life of the Christian. While the Bible has undergone criticism and its’ popularity has diminished, he holds to the fact that the Bible is the truth, it is from God and it is wisdom for living even in these modern times. Steve’s preaching style is simple and straight forward, it is conversational and laced with humor.

He says, “My goal is to be clear, that is understood. It is not meant to be difficult, misunderstood or misleading. It is wisdom to be put to practice in our daily living. My aim is to be decisive, so anyone will know what to do. My purpose is to be applicable so you will not only know what to do but how to do it.” The Bible is truth and really the only thing that counts. If the Bible is not true then nothing matters. If the Bible is true then nothing else matters.

Steve Young - Associate Pastor

Steve Young joined the South Shores team in July of 2013 and has been “helping people find and follow Jesus” since 1995. He brings a fresh perspective, creativity and vision for the life of the church. His desire is to help the church build a bridge for those who don’t know Jesus in order that every person can take another step toward Him.

Steve’s passion is to see South Shores find relevant, authentic and real ways to bring the love of Christ to the Decatur area, but realizes that dream begins with both himself and you living life in such a way that other people take notice. The goal of his life is when people look at him, they only see Jesus.
