Why pray if God already knows everything?

Good question. However, the question seems to assume that prayer is telling God something. How about prayer being a conversation? You talk He listens. Then you listen and He talks. Kind of simple huh? I think everyone prays some, few of us pray too much and all of us wish we could pray more, or better, or deeper, or with fire, fervor and faith.
What if you received a gift this Christmas like no other gift? What if you received the gift of prayer? Would you be disappointed with the gift? Truth is if we could receive such a gift, it would likely be the best gift ever. It would certainly be a gift that keeps on giving. If you could pray more and deeper and better and with fire, fervor and faith. What would be the outcome of such a gift in your life? Think how this gift might change others near you?
You could pray like this: Father, you are good. I need help, healing and forgiveness. They (anyone you can think of) need help too. Thank You, in Jesus Name, amen.
I heard about a girl who was into cheer leading. So into it that it changed her prayer life. Before her meal she would bow her head, close her eyes and say, “Rub-a-dub-dub, thank you for the grub…AMEN!”
I appreciate her enthusiasm, but she could stand for little more, a little better and a little deeper. So could I for that matter. Let’s make this month a month of ‘better prayer.’
