What Jesus built, nobody likes...

Evidently, it’s true, Jesus built His church but everyone seems to want to change it to suit themselves.  So many different churches and so many different denominations and folks are still building more.  Evidently the one Jesus built and describes in the New Testament is not good enough for modern man either.  So, on and on goes the ways of man.  When will we surrender to Jesus and let His church be exactly that … HIS Church!

It seems like modern man accepts Jesus’ forgiveness but not His Church plans.  We want the guarantee of heaven but not the blueprint for the church.  It seems like modern man believes every church is on the right track, and all you have to do is find the right one for you.  It’s like going to a smorgasbord buffet.  Of course, we only take what we want and leave the rest for someone else.  So, we do the same with His doctrine for His church.  Take what you like and leave the rest.  Does anyone really believe that is acceptable to God? 

I want our church to be known for one thing and one thing only.  That we stand on the Word of God.  We preach it, teach it and try to obey it.  I don’t care if you like our music, our coffee, our building, our location, our dress code, or anything else.  As long as you know we are devoted to the Word of God.  It is central to our program and every service.  Loyalty to His word is the only thing that really matters.
