TWO WRONG QUESTIONS

Questions original

Wrong question # 1. How far away can you be and still be in. Wrong question # 2 How near can you be and still be out? An old saying comes to mind as I think about two wrong questions. Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. Usually just being close or near to something is not acceptable. We want to be right on, not almost, or about, or close, or just-about.
Here’s why I’m thinking this way. When it comes to being a Christian who wants to be almost a Christian? Why not be one? Who wants to just be thinking about being a Christian, why not just be one? Now that we are thinking this way, let me ask two more wrong questions. Wrong question # 1 how much of the Bible can I not believe and still be a believer? How much of the Bible can I disobey and still be acceptable for heaven? Those are terrible questions that no one in their right mind would think about asking. But we live like it doesn’t matter what we believe or practice.
Did you hear about the six year old who asked his mother “why is grandma always reading her Bible?” Mothers’ answer, “Because she is preparing for the final.” Are you preparing for the final?
