Three Battles

Did you know you, yes you, whoever may be reading this blog, you are involved right now in three battles.  After you reads this, if you have the courage to do so, you will realize what I am saying is true.  Actually, you have known this for a long time, I am simply bringing it to light or to the forefront of your mind.  Here are the three battles:

  # 1 A battle of souls. Yours!  It is waging right now.  The closer you are to God, the more aware of this battle are you.  It is easy to see if you are winning or losing the battle.  Am I today closer to God or farther away?  Am I reading and knowing the Bible more or less?  Am I pray more or less?  Am I serving more or less?  You get the idea.  If I am winning the battle I am a better Christian today than I was yesterday.

  # 2 A battle of families.  Yours!  Satan hates you, your marriage, your family and your heritage.  He has become proficient in family breakdown.  How are you doing in the realm of the battle?  It’s not just a matter of love, but of action.  Are you acting like the family man or woman or child that God has called you to?

  # 3 A battle of nations.  Ours!  One does not have to have much insight to realize our nation is in a moral, economic, social, and political free fall.  We are going down.  It is another way to say we are losing this battle.  It’s time to save yourself, and any who are close to you that you can.  It is time for you and me to prepare for dealing with the loss of this battle.  What does that look like?  Well, try to imagine some Biblical images of hell.  There you have it, it looks like hell on earth.

I told you you’d understand the three battles if you could read this far.  What do we do now? In the words of Peter in Acts 2:49b… “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
