Tell It Again

Tell it again head original

Why is it that every December we want to hear it again?  Tell me the story of how Jesus came to earth.  Tell me again.  The old story still has impact.  After all these years, we still want and need to hear it again.  What we really need to be reminded of is that God, who has a neat place in heaven, gave it up for a time, to inhabit this earth, with a body (similar to yours) to show us the way.  He is still doing it today.  Even those who say they don’t want to hear about it, they get a good dose anyway.
For the busy business man:  It is just like Jesus to enter the market place once a year and grant many businesses a profit in His name.
For the profane:  It’s just like Jesus to grace their lips with good cheer of Merry Christmas when most of the time they use His name to curse and condemn.
For the depressed:  It’s just like Jesus to enter the darkness of winter with lights and decorations and party’s and gifts and remind us that spring is just around the corner.
For the overworked individual:  It’s just like Jesus to grant you a holiday that bears His name. All people, believers and deniers alike look forward to the holiday.
For the naysayers:  It's just like Jesus to give a day off with pay, just because He was born on this earth (even though December 25th may not be the actual day). Think about this, people who work hard all year long trying to get God out of the public arena gladly take the holiday pay. Did I hear someone say hypocrite? Hey, Jesus loves them too!
For people like me:  It’s just like Jesus to affect my life in a powerful and positive way. It’s just like Jesus to cleanse my heart and make me (one who is so unworthy) to be His son. Others may protest the holiday in His Name, but I will forever be grateful for the truth that it has brought to my life.
