Sit, Walk, and Stand

To understand God’s strategy and to be in the process to progress or God’s will for your life, is described by SIT, WALK and STAND.
We sit under the teaching of Jesus to learn the strategy and to be convinced that God has a strategy worth your commitment to follow. His strategy involves the precious blood of His Son, to deliver us from our debt to sin. His strategy also involves the cross, which can deliver us from the human condition of being a sinner. His strategy is to remove our sin and our sinning. We sit with His truth until we ’get it!’
We have two positions on sitting that can get us in trouble. Some people don’t want to sit under the teaching of Jesus, they just want to move on to walking. They often fail in their walk, because they didn’t sit and learn enough or be convinced enough that this is the right way to go,
Some people just want to sit and never walk. Faithful attenders to worship services and Bible studies, but never put their learning into action. Faithful to sit, but unfaithful to walk.
So, be clear on this we sit and learn first, then we walk.
We ‘walk out’ what we learn while we were sitting. Or we put in to action what we have learned. We learn characteristics of Christian living and we try it out. At school, work, home and any place life takes us. We try to be loving to all, we try to be joyful in attitude and action, we practice being peaceful with all, we are patient with people and circumstances, we try to be kind to everyone, and we become aware of ‘good deeds’, and we make an attempt to be faithful to all our promises and we show gentleness everywhere we can and of course we practice self-control, rather that out-of-control! One thing we find out for sure...IT AIN’T EASY! But we try, we are walking the way we were taught when we sat under the feet of Jesus’ teaching,
Now we are ready to stand. Stand means steadfast and not wavering or compromising. We know the truth, we walk in truth and nothing this world throws at us will change that. That is standing! For those who stand they enjoy two things in abundance. They enjoy peace and freedom. Peace because they are not condemned, Freedom because the law is not their master, Jesus is. His massive amounts of love and grace are having there way with you.
The process is rather simple, sit and learn, walk and experience, stand confident on the mighty truth of God! Perhaps it is easier said than done, but it is do-able (that means it can be done).
