Revive The Church Oh God

Revive the church oh God.  Purge her from timidity, tolerance and tiredness.  Rib her saints with the steel of courage, commitment and compassion.  Do not allow her to be shallow, shy, sheepish, shaky, stutter, shoddy or shrink back.  O lord, mobilize her men, sterilize her vessels, scrutinize her purity, concretize her convictions, stabilize her ship, cauterize her wounds, synchronize her strategy, fertilize her fields, revolutionize her loyalty and vulcanize her message.

     Oh God, help the church to rid herself of the rummage, residue, rottenness, redundancy, ridiculousness and rubbish.  Purify her preachers, multiply her missions, sanctify her saints, verify her message, magnify her gospel, and stupefy her enemies.  Oh God, let her troops pay any price, go any distance, suffer any loss, hurdle any obstacle, cross any river, climb any mountain, solve any problem, plunge to any depth, ascend to any height, and cross any bridge to conquer this world for her mighty groom.

     O God, this church is your church.  Let her be done with sight walking, low living, empty talking and tame plans.  Lord, may this church put on the coat of courage, the pants of power, the bonnet of boldness, the shirt of surety, the jacket of joy and the sandals of certainty.

     Lord, trim us of the fat of folly, fickleness, fuzziness and frailness.  Teach her to flex her muscles with the power of the Holy Spirit.  Lord, before you come to get your bride, make sure she has stood tall, knelt low, lifted high and proclaimed broad.  Please God revive your church today.
