Membership Must I?

Membership has its privileges, the question is -- are they worth it? Unequivocally, the answer is a resounding ... maybe! Ultimately, the value of anything depends on how much you use it. If you pay $399 for a Disneyland annual pass and go once, that's an expensive trip. If you buy the same
pass and go 200 times you'll be paying $1.99 per day --a deal! You might be singing "It's a Small World" in your sleep, but you will have received your money's worth.
But my friends let me tell you it would be a big mistake to compare belonging to a church to belonging to any other organization. There is no comparison and to try would be the beginning of diminishing the church. You don’t want to do that. First of all the church only wants God’s best for you. It only wants to lead you to heaven. It only wants to impact your life with faith, hope and love. It only wants to reveal truth and dispose of darkness. The church is the bride of Christ don’t miss out on that. Quit asking the question how little I can be involved and still be a member. Quit asking how much of the Bible can I not believe and still be a believer. Quit asking how much sin can I hang on to and still go to heaven. Dwelling on questions like these, cheapen your membership or partnership with Jesus. Don’t participate in anything that will blemish the name of Jesus.
Rant over, all I want to say is that Jesus deserves our best effort.
