Is It Possible to Study The Bible Wrong?

One would think that any Bible study would be better than no Bible study at all. In theory that is true. However sometimes we just get it wrong and there may be no cure for that. Maybe we could have a little fun today, as we observe funny things that have happened on the way to Bible study.
The following quotes are actually from the Bible. Here are three that I thought you’d find interesting.
- Genesis 25:30 [Holman Christian Standard Bible]
He said to Jacob, 'Let me eat some of that red stuff, because I'm exhausted.'
- Proverbs 21:19 [New Living Translation]
It is better to live alone in the desert than with a crabby, complaining wife. - Proverbs 27:15-16 [New Living Translation]
A quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping on a rainy day. Stopping her complaints is like trying to stop the wind or trying to hold something with greased hands.
A grandson of a friend came home from Sunday School and grandpa asked him what they had studied. His reply was, “Nothing.” So, grandpa asked him, “Didn't you study Jesus?” The grandson’s reply was, “No, he wasn't even there.”
A Sunday school teacher, was telling her class the story of the "Good Samaritan," from the Bible, in which a man was beaten, robbed and left for dead. She described the situation in vivid detail so her students would catch the drama. Then she asked the class, “If you saw a person lying on the roadside all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?” A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence, 'I think I'd be sick.'
Another grandchild came home from visiting grandma and he asked his mother “Why is grandma always reading her Bible?” After thinking about it mother said “She’s cramming for the final!”
Another cutie, one kid was trying to explain the Bible and why it was so important. He said, “The word BIBLE stand for Basic Instruction Before Leaving the Earth.
Nice try, but I think God intends for us to get it as right as we possibly can. Cute just doesn’t cut it when facing eternity in one of two possibilities.
